Live recording of Maoz Tsur, from the project Songs for the Breathing Walls. Arrangement by Yair Dalal and Lenka Lichtenberg. The traditional melody was sung in Venice in the Italian Jewish community in early 18th century. The Venetian composer Benedetto Marcello (1686-1739) transcribed and harmonized the piece. Here it is performed by Lenka Lichtenberg (voice), Yair Dalal (oud, voice) and David Doruzka (guitar). Audio, tech Derek Saxenmeyer.
