There is so little information on this song and it's pretty hard to find a ''non frog'' version so decided to do a little research. The song was originally released in 1899. and the sheet music was done by Howard and Emerson. Since then it was used as a ragtime number, was used in several films and was sung by the cast of the Broadway review ''Tintypes'' in 1980.
However the most ''heard'' version of the song is the one from 1978. sung by Robert ''Doc'' Cox also known under the pseudonym Ivor Biggun (doesn't need clarifications, eh? xD). Along with him the song was sung by one ''Miss Amelia Blowhard'' (again , I presume, a pseudonym which goes well with ''Biggun'', if you catch my drift). However , I couldn't find anything about ''Miss Amelia Blowhard''. Like literally no information at all, no links, nothing...I'd appreciate if anyone that knows who she actually is writes that in the comments.
