During his partnership with fellow legend George Barnes, Kress composed this charming piece, in honor of the Golden Retriever puppies that had recently been born in his basement. The rhythm romps and tumbles, the melody evokes puppyish squealing and yelping...it was a perfect vehicle for George and Carl's intricate interplay, and was always a favorite among Barnes-Kress fans.
