This is my instrumental cover of the beautiful and timeless theme, "Kimi wo Nosete" (Carrying You), from Studio Ghibli's masterpiece, "Castle in the Sky". All credits go to the legendary composer Joe Hisaishi and director Hayao Miyazaki for creating a world that has inspired generations.
I've always wondered how this iconic Japanese melody would sound when played on the Guqin, an ancient Chinese zither with thousands of years of history. This is my attempt to blend two beautiful cultures into one piece of music. I hope you enjoy this moment of peace and nostalgia.
